Climbing Kilimanjaro for the Physics of Tomorrow

Douglas Alexander (Physics'15) has started a fundraising project "Climbing Kilimanjaro for the Physics of Tomorrow". The aim is to raise money for physics demonstration equipment for public high schools in New Orleans area. The project webpages can be accessed at www.nolaphysics.org and donations can be made through that page. So far $5,234 has been raised! He said"Climbing Kilimanjaro was amazing, but traveling through Tanzania changed something in me--it's hard to describe exactly what--but I feel that the people I met along my journey in Tanzania helped me to become a better person."He reached the summit on July 14, 2012.
