Immerse yourself in Japan's fascinating culture while making new friends and gaining valuable work experience.
Consider applying for the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Program.
JET Program participants teach English at middle or high schools in Japan as assistant language teachers, or work at local government offices on international exchange activities.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have a bachelor’s degree by July 1, 2011.
Proficiency in Japanese is not required for the assistant teachers’ positions. Candidates receive a generous stipend and roundtrip airfare to Japan. The initial contract is for one year – renewable twice, for a maximum of three years.
