Mr. Harvey is a professional software engineer with a multi-decade career building web, media, and embedded software in a variety of arenas from commercial startup to large enterprise and non-profit to federal government. He dedicates significant volunteer time and effort to civic technology and tech education initiatives. Mr. Harvey is an alumnus of Loyola University New Orleans, graduating in 2001 with a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science, and received a M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing from University of Maryland at College Park in 2007, additionally pursuing several years of graduate study beyond the master's. His professional and academic interests are in  computational harmonic analysis and signal processing, novel encodings and embeddings of data, software engineering process and practice, and software architectures for distributed and asynchronous systems.
