SEA Semester is an environment focused program based out of Boston which gives college students the opportunity to sail on one of their ships while conducting scientific research along the way. Sofia's cruise track started in Tahiti and ended in Hawaii, with a few stops at secluded islands along the way. This particular cruise track's focus was to study the coral reefs along the Pacific Ocean and how they are recuperating from the El Nino event two years ago.
