Eli Velazquez, A'92, was promoted from director to vice president, sports, for Telemundo Communications Group, a leading producer of high-quality content for Hispanics in the U.S. and audiences around the world.  Eli oversees all sports-related programming and operations for the network. In addition, he is responsible for leading the strategic domestic growth and integration of the department's emerging platforms, while securing new and innovative ways to evolve the Telemundo Sports brand. Telemundo successfully completed more than 150 broadcast hours of the Beijing Olympic Games in Spanish, where Eli served as co-executive producer.  Eli joined Telemundo in 1999 as a sports producer.
