Dr. Anthony Ladd weighed in on the psychological affects of the BP oil spill in a recent report by truth-out.org, a forum dedicated to broadening the political discussion. The report highlighted commentary on the impacts of the spill from psychiatrists, social scientists and psychologists.
Ladd, a professor in the Sociology Department, expressed his concerens about the long-term affects of the disaster on the Gulf Coast.
"This is a very real problem and even happens with educators, scientists and certainly with Gulf Coast residents. It's like watching the death of a loved one for a lot of people," said Ladd.
