Dr. David M. Myers is author of The Nature of Computer Games and is an internationally-recognized scholar of  digital media and play.  He is currently working on book-length manuscript called Play Redux: The Anti-Aesthetic of Computer Games, which applies formalist models and methods to an analysis of digital media, digital play, and computer games.
