Sophomore Ophelia Battle earned first place in the Aging Means Business Student Ad contest presented by the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau. The winning design was chosen based on creativity, originality, clarity in communicating the message, appeal and demonstration of knowledge about New Orleans tourism. Sophomore Caitlin Sullivan received an honorable mention award too.
"This is great news for our students," said Instructor Rachael Hatley. "I encouraged all my Introduction to Layout and Design students to participate."
Battle and Sullivan will receive their awards at the forum on Monday, November 22 in New Orleans.
