At WWOZ she serves as both Livewire editor and the station's digital and editorial content coordinator. Prevost is also an analyst for Insight New Orleans, a partnership between the nonprofit investigative news organization the Lens and WWOZ. Insight New Orleans is part of American Public Media's Public Insight Network (PIN). Prevost and another SMC alum Maggie Calmes, ('08), who serves as the Lens engagement editor, are now working to bring Gulf Coast sources and voices to the national media. Thanks to Prevost and Calmes any newsroom in America that is a part of PIN can have real insights and access to Southern sources if they are doing a story on this region. When not working for WWOZ Prevost is freelancing for newspapers Louisiana Weekly and Where Y'at. Her investigative feature for the latter publication on New Orleans musicians and the new national Medicaid Waiver program is still one of the top three most read stories on Where Y'at's website. "I have been one extremely blessed, yet busy, lady," Prevost says.
