Earth Week Solo Scavenger Hunt

Solo Scavenger Hunt Begins | 8am | City Park: Couturie Forest

In the spirit of Earth Week, join the Environment Program in being mindful of the flora and fauna around our local New Orleans area. We are starting a solo scavenger hunt for Earth Week on Monday, April 19th. We will post the critter sheets on our website and our social media platforms so everyone has the opportunity to participate. We encourage you to come to our Earth Week events, including our guided scavenger hunt and check off the critters that are on the scavenger hunt list. We understand that people may not feel comfortable gathering together during this pandemic. The solo scavenger hunt’s goal is to give those who feel more comfortable in smaller groups a chance to still participate and be a part of the environment. We will be giving prizes out for participation. The solo scavenger hunt participants can come to our Greenhouse Gathering event and pick up a plant in the Palm Court on Thursday, April 22nd, at 5:00pm while supplies last. We want to motivate everyone to get outside and try to identify the different flora and fauna around New Orleans.

If you would like to go specifically to Couturie Forest on another day to do the solo scavenger hunt, the address is 1009 Harrison Ave, New Orleans, LA.
