Shannon is a student, a scholar and a selfless person. She has managed to maintain a 3.9 GPA while taking difficult science courses, a very heavy class load as an ENVT student, conducting novel research on the spider community at New Orleans City Park, serving as one of two lead students on the Loyola University BioBlitz New Orleans City Park project, student teaching every day this academic year at Sci High, being a major contributor to the track/field and cross country athletic teams AND volunteering extensively in the community.
