Interns were involved in hands-on activities related to climate research that allowed them to see the direct impacts of climate variability and change on the West Texas Southern High Plains, the prairie and forest ecosystems and tribal cultures of Oklahoma, and the bayous, delta and coastline of Louisiana. They also visited several university campuses and field locations and interacted with faculty conducting cutting edge research.
