Loyola's S.E.E.D. Garden Supports Sustainable, Environmental, Educational, and Diversity Learning

In 2022, the Loyola S.E.E.D. Garden Beds were created through funding from the Loyola Mission Integration Grant. The gardens are used for many purposes such as addressing food insecurity by providing fresh produce, giving students the opportunity to understand local food systems and contemplate nature, integrating hands-on learning experience into Biology and Environment curriculum, and benefit local ecosystems by planting native plants.
