Loyola Environment Program collaborated with Sci High students for Science Fair

Students Tamera and Tia Blackstone of New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School partnered with Dr. Craig Hood and Shannon Hester, ENVT ’19, of Loyola University New Orleans to complete a science fair project surveying the bat activity around Sci High. The 11th grade students developed research questions on their own and analyzed 3 months of data contributing to Dr. Hood's larger citizen science bat research. Their work was awarded second place in Animal Science at the GNO Science and Engineering Fair on February 20, 2019. Tia and Tamera will be advancing to the state competition, LSEF, presenting their project again in March.
