Danny Milojevic's transition from Loyola University Environmental Humanities Major to work in the real world started even before he graduated when his friend Murphy Fleenor introduced him to Berry Hill Farm, his small family farm in Loranger, Louisiana. Berry Hill Farm provided the perfect setting for Milojevic's Senior Capstone where he assisted in growing produce and establishing Berry Hill Farm as a member of the national network of community supported agriculture (CSA) farms.
He is now, along with his partner Fleenor (Mass Comm 2013), co-manager/owner of the farm, helping run everyday operations and deliveries to New Orleans. Produce is grown by organic methods and sold by subscription to local customers. Customer subscriptions for vegetables, fresh-baked bread, free-range chicken eggs, cut flowers, and a homemade farm product that changes each week often sell out in advance of the season. Milojevic finds his work not only connects him to his chosen interests, but pays the bills as well.
