Dr. Jackson is a computational/physical chemist who joined the faculty at Loyola in the Fall of 2023. His research is focused on using high-accuracy modeling and simulation methods, such as density functional theory (DFT), second-order Møller−Plesset perturbation theory (MP2) and coupled cluster CCSD(T) theory in the gas phase, to study different processes relevant to environmental issues. His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Physical Chemistry, Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry.
