Dr. Jordan Pedalino is a dedicated researcher, community advocate, and educator with a deep commitment to criminal justice reform and victim support. She became part of the Department of Criminology and Justice in Spring 2023, after previously being a student in the same department. At Loyola, Dr. Pedalino earned her Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a Master's in Criminology and Justice before continuing her academic journey with a Ph.D. in Sociology from LSU. Her work is primarily focused on coordinating initiatives to prevent and address sexual assault in New Orleans, where she is recognized as an expert in survivor services and sexual assault response teams. Her research interests encompass sexual assault, domestic violence, and substance abuse, utilizing mixed-methods approaches. Past projects have examined survivors' interactions with law enforcement, college student substance use, and crimes affecting women.
