Alumnus advances to FBI supervisor role

James W. Stewart '95, a former homicide officer from the New Orleans Police Department, is working for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) as the supervisor in the Florida Panhandle. He supervises the three FBI offices in Pensacola, Ft. Walton Beach and Panama City. James was in Washington, DC, for three years as a counterterrorism supervisor and also was stationed for five months in Pakistan and detailed to the CIA.

After Hurricane Katrina, he was on a temporary duty assignment to New Orleans. The Senior Agent-in-Charge of New Orleans assigned six agents to the NOPD, so James had a chance to visit the Loyola campus a few times. He hopes to remain in Pensacola for the next couple of years.
