The New Orleans City Council awarded proclamations to several political science students at Loyola University New Orleans for their work on a policy brief entitled "Customer Service in New Orleans, Louisiana."

Councilmember-at-large Arnie Fielkow sent the proclamations to Alexandra Hoover, '09, Julie Sisson, '09, and David Zoller, '10 (pictured above) -- all students in Prof. Peter F. Burns' Policy Research class in spring 2009.

The students submitted the policy brief to Arnie Fielkow on August 27, 2009.

In the Policy Research class, students provided policy topics for appointed officials. Fielkow requested the topic "Customer Service in New Orleans, Louisiana."

In the past, students have completed reports on taxicab policy, ad valorem tax policy and request for proposal process and testified about the policies before New Orleans' City Council.
