Political Science junior Ranmali DeSilva from Loyola University New Orleans presented research findings on improving Hurricane Evacuation Practices in New Orleans to members of the City Council.  

Research projects are completed as part of the course, Policy Research Shop, taught by Peter Burns, Ph.D., professor of political science.

Students choose topics of high interest to provide research and policy reports to local officials in New Orleans.
