Political Science major, Martin Quintero, prepares his native Venezuelan cuisine for The International Student Association

Martin prepared the authentic Venezuelan food - arepa. He also served a popular Venezuelan drink, the Frescolita. The arepa is made from cornmeal or flour, baked and stuffed with meat and cheese. The popular Venezuelan drink, the Frescolita, is similar to cream sodas found in the U.S.

At this free event, Loyola's international students as well as U.S. Americans, set up tables where they showcase a variety of items (flags, pictures, native clothing, artifacts, etc.) and food from their home countries or from countries where they have studied abroad. This is an extremely popular event; all the Loyola community loves it!
