The World Cleanup Day Team wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for your participation in World Cleanup Day! Your enthusiasm and commitment to cleaning up our environment made a significant impact in our community. 198 participants were able to collect 384 lbs. of litter from the Carrollton neighborhood. Together, we demonstrated the power of teamwork and showed that small actions can lead to big changes. Whether you picked up litter, volunteered to serve, or inspired others to join in, your efforts truly made a difference. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to advocate for a cleaner, healthier planet. Be on the lookout for more participation in the next community cleanup, and more environmental based events, during the Loyola University Earth Week from April 22nd through 25th! Thank you once again for your dedication and hard work!

How to get involved:

• Food will be provided, and vegetarian or vegan options are available.
• We will provide trash bags, gloves, and litter grabbers.
• Please bring a reusable water bottle and wear comfortable clothing (closed-toe shoes recommended)
• If you forget your water bottle, we can provide one while supplies last.

**For Loyola students: If you need a ride from Loyola's main campus to the Broadway campus please call Loyola's Shuttle Service at 504-865-3100. The shuttle runs on Saturdays starting at 10AM.** 

The Cleanup:
We will begin at Loyola's Broadway campus, where breakfast will be provided by Sodexo (starts at 9AM). We will then split into groups to begin the litter sweep of the Carrollton neighborhood. There will be drop-points throughout the neighborhood for volunteers to offload collected trash (please note litter only; no appliances or hazardous waste), these are marked on the map below. This is a great opportunity to give back and get involved with the community! Once the cleanup ends, we will meet on Tulane's campus at Rogers Chapel 1229 Broadway St. where lunch will be provided by Aramark (starting at 12PM) and educational tabling will take place!
