Achievements

Kenneth Keulman, Ph.D., professor of religious studies, was a co-presenter of "Actors and Contexts: Hierarchical Analyses of Multilevel Identities," at the Midwest Political Science Association Annual National Conference in Chicago, Ill., April 22-25.

Denis Janz, Ph.D., Loyola University New Orleans Provost Distinguished Professor of Religious Studies, has been appointed scholar-in-residence by the Tantur Institute for Ecumenical Studies in Jerusalem, Israel.

Denis Janz, Provost Distinguished Professor of Religious Studies, has been appointed "Consulting Editor" by Fortress Press. His responsibilities include acquisitions about European Christianity and evaluating new European books for possible publication in North America.

A Festschrift has been published in honor of Fisher H. Humphreys. The book contains an essay by Professor Stephen J. Duffy, former head of the Loyola's master's program in religious studies. The book is dedicated in memoriam to Father Duffy.

Michael Juge graduated with a specialization in World Religions. He has completed his M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Texas.

Through the summer and the fall Dr. Gnuse's primary energy was spent on generating a book manuscript entitled, No Tolerance for Tyrants: The Biblical Assault on Kings and Kingship.

Dr. Robbie Castleman is an Associate Professor at John Brown University. She earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Religious Studies from Loyola University, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Van Pham completed her doctorate at the Catholic University of America.

Christine Baudin is enrolled in an M.A. program in Theological Studies at St. Louis University. She was recently awarded the Puleo Scholarship which is given annually to students doing graduate work in or majoring in theology.

Religious studies student Paul Buehler recently published an essay, "Daniel And Akkadian Prophecy: Exploring The Origins Of Apocalyptic Eschatology," in the Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa.
