Achievements

Sonia Odom studied at the University of Cape Town in South Africa this summer.  She wrote in her blog that she thoroughly enjoyed her experience.

David Zoller earned a B.A. in Political Science at Loyola in 2010.  He is currently the District Director for Louisiana State Representative Julie Stokes for the 79th district.

Dr. Young Soo Kim recently published an article entitled: “International Norms and Distinctive Policy Choices in Global AIDS Funding: Comparative Case Studies of Norway and Belgium,” Comparative European Politics, 12(3) (2014): 319-342

Kevin Welsh practices in the area of insurance and reinsurance, with a focus on insurance coverage, professional liability defense, bad faith counseling and litigation at Phelps Dunbar, LLP.

A panel sponsored by the Loyola Society for Civic Engagement and the Political Science Department focused on the protests in Ukraine. Professors Natasha Bingham and Soo Young Kim will present their perspectives on the issue and will answer any questions you may have.

Political Science major, A'niya Robinson, serves as President of Loyola's Wolfpack Diversity Team.

On Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 12:30pm Dr. Philip Dynia will present his research entitled, "Shaping our Contestable Constitution: The Bill of Rights and the States".  

On November 21, 2013 Dr. Young Soo Kim presents research entitled, "Obstacles against Response to AIDS in South Africa:  Historical Legacies in Perception and Policy Environment." 

On September 26, 2013 Dr. Cain will present research entitled, Dr. Sean Cain presents research entitled, "The Effects of Campaign Spending in Elections for Non-Voting U.S. Representatives".

On October 29, 2013 Dr. Natasha Bingham presents research entitled, "Fighting for Our Cause: The Impact of Women's NGOs on Gender Policy Adoption across Former Soviet Republics".
