Alfred L. Lorenz, Ph.D., the A. Louis Read Distinguished Professor of Mass Communication, was awarded the Loyola University New Orleans 2009 Dux Academicus Award at Faculty and Staff Convocation on Friday, Jan. 15.

Loyola’s library staff is launching a project to digitize nearly 85 years of Loyola’s student newspaper, The Maroon, online.

Les East, journalism instructor in Loyola's School of Mass Communication was elected to the 2008-09 Press Club of New Orleans board.

Five Loyola University New Orleans public relations students were awarded first-place honors Friday, May 15, in the 2009 Bateman Case Study Competition.
