Associate Professor of Religious Studies, City College. She holds an Ed.D. in Religion and Education from Teachers College Columbia University, 1986. Courses taught in the Environmental Studies Program include: Christianity and the Environment (RELS C368) and The Spirituality of the Nature Writers (RELS C470). Dr. O'Gorman also teaches undergraduate courses in World Religions and Current Moral Problems. She also designs and teaches the curriculum for the Masters in Religious Education Program sponsored by Loyola's Institute for Ministry. She has taught at Loyola since 1981, having first served as the Institute's Associate Director from 1979-1981. Her research interests focus on the natural world as the foundation of education. She is committed to the integration of the Earth and the new story of the Universe throughout the educational venture and most especially, within the field of Religious Education.
