Scholarly Activities

Craig S. Hood, Ph.D., professor and chairperson of biological sciences, presented two public education programs on understanding the biology of bats this Fall. In October, he presented a program entitled, "Bats of Louisiana: a model for Conservation Biology," at the 2007 Wild Things event sponsored by the U.S. Wildlife & Fisheries Service in Lacombe, LA. Later, he presented an educational program to kids and their parents at the Barataria Preserve of Jean Lafitte National Historical Park entitled, "The Bats of Barataria."
