On October 29, 2013 Dr. Natasha Bingham presents research entitled, "Fighting for Our Cause: The Impact of Women's NGOs on Gender Policy Adoption across Former Soviet Republics".

Dr. Carol Ann MacGregor, Department of Sociology, was presented with the 2013 Distinguished Article Award by the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion at the SSSR's Annual Meeting in Boston on November 9, 2013.

Dr. Kathleen Fitzgerald's article entitled "The continuing Significance of Race: Racial Genomics in a Post-Racial Era" will be published in the February issue of Humanity and Society.

“Of Disaster and Love: John Biguenet’s Rising Water Trilogy," an interview article by Marina Kennedy, was published in Woman Around Town.

Someday soon, smart phones could be charged in a pocket using only body heat to power up the devices. Even sooner, rocket sensors needed to monitor an engine’s health while launching it into space could feature sensors powered solely by the heat generated from the rocket.

The Science show for the students at the Samuel J. Green charter school was an excellent experience for both the volunteering Loyola students as well as the school kids. Douglas, Cameron, Riley, Jessie, and Ilyes, all physics students helped with the event.
